How I stay healthy, fit and active…

It isn't a mystery, it really doesn't have to be.  You can have kids and keep your body.  You can age well.  We all can!  If we keep the toxic out of our lives, we can let all the goodness in.

That’s it!

That's all I do.  I never think about my weight, loosing it or gaining it.  I never worry about getting enough exercise, eating too much or too little.  I just try to always make the right choices and forgive myself every now and then if I want to steal a bite of my kids cupcake, honestly that's it! I really don't have cravings for bad foods, only good.  I fill my plate with beautiful goodness at every meal.  I try not to snack and I run 2-3x a week.

Healthy Living Made Simple...

Food...

Should make you feel good.  Every meal should make you smile.  Every bite should bring nutrients  to your body.  If it doesn't, if it leaves you with feelings of guilt, then you are making the wrong choices.  When you make the right ones, you will feel and look great.

Staying Active...

Being active should be a way of life.  Stay on your feet!  Exercise when you can but mostly just stay busy.  It's ok if you can't make it to the gym.  Instead, just make it out to the yard to mow the lawn. Take your kids for a walk.  Do the laundry!  Put on that Fitbit you have stashed in your drawer and watch your steps.  Get that 10,000 in and you're golden!

Self Care...

7-8 hours of sleep.  Yoga/ meditation.  Vitamins!  Fill your days with things you love.  Hobbies, friends, kids, your spouse.  Find someone to talk to when you need to vent!  Don't drink (yes, I know.  I said it.  All those empty calories are killing your waistline) or do drugs (smoking, vaping, marijuana..  all have negative effects on your lungs and your patience and your sleep patterns!!)

Love yourself...

True happiness begins and ends inside of you.  Forgive yourself for all your wrongs.  Relish in all your rights.  One life, that's all you get.  No one else will ever walk in your shoes, those are yours and yours alone.  Every second of every day is spent inside of your own head.  If you don't like your thoughts, change them.
